At the beginning of the new year, the Longxue shipbuilding base of China State Shipbuilding Group has a gratifying start, which is a good start for the new year's "endeavor song".The first ship of the Year of the Rabbit at Longxue Base was delivered 71 days ahead of schedule.

On February 1, the first 85,000-ton bulk carrier "SEACON NOLA" built by Huangpu Wenchong for Intercontinental Shipping was successfully delivered. This is the third bulk carrier of the same series delivered by the company, and it is also the first ship product delivered by the Longxue Shipbuilding Base in the Year of the Rabbit.

This type of ship has a total length of 228.9 meters, a molded width of 36 meters, a molded depth of 20.15 meters, a design draft of 11.8 meters, a structural draft of 14 meters, and a structural draft of about 85,000 tons.

The "Sea Whale" series of 85,000-ton bulk carriers is the first bulk carrier independently designed and obtained orders in Huangpu Wenchong, and it is also the largest bulk carrier independently developed by Guangdong Province. It meets the new Panama Canal rules, the latest emission requirements of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides, the latest vibration and noise specifications, and meets the requirements of green environmental protection standards and classification society specifications. In the construction process of this type of ship, advanced ship manufacturing technologies such as intelligent welding robots, digital docks, and simulated loading are also applied.

Huangpu Wenchong has undertaken a total of 10 ships of this type, and the construction quality of the two ships of the same type delivered before has been highly recognized by the ship owner. The construction team of "SEACON NOLA" summed up the experience in the construction of ships of the same type, strictly implemented the plan, rationally divided the working area, deepened the improvement of quality and efficiency through the cross-operation mode, and realized key nodes such as undocking and trial voyage as scheduled. The total construction period was 11 and a half months. , delivered 71 days earlier than planned.

The ship adopts the new generation of LNG dual-fuel LRâ…¡ ship design independently designed and developed by GSI. Guided by "green and environmental protection", it follows the design, production and construction concept of "efficient, environmentally friendly and safe". The newly developed and designed energy-saving and environmentally-friendly ship types for East, route and market demand, combined GSI’s accumulated experience in oil tanker design and construction for many years and cutting-edge technologies in the field of green environmental protection, is another masterpiece of GSI to practice the concept of green and low-carbon development. It is also a blockbuster product launched by the company in the field of new energy ships. After the ship is delivered, it will be used by the global oil and gas industry giant Total Energy of France.

It is particularly worth mentioning that this ship is the first LNG high-pressure dual-fuel green ship independently undertaken by GSI to undertake detailed design. GSI fully absorbed previous experience in the design process of the ship, and realized close to "zero" modification of the hull design instruction list by deepening the comprehensive and precise application of the integrated management system and closely cooperating with the shipowner's ship inspection.
